Guatemala-San Francisco: direct flight for three months

Avianca began the operation of a direct route between Guatemala and San Franciscoavailable only during the season FIFA World Cup 2026.

The connection will be valid from June 1 to August 31, 2026 and will have four weekly flights.

Tickets are now available through Avianca’s sales channels and the average fare reported by the company is around US$590 per passenger.

Flights from Guatemala take off on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The itinerary includes departure from La Aurora International Airport to 1:20 and arrival in San Francisco at 6:25.

In the opposite direction, flights from San Francisco operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdaywith departure at 7:45 and arrival in Guatemala City at 14:15

Guatemala-Boston: route via Belize for four months

The second announced route corresponds to BermudAir, which will connect Boston with Guatemala City via a stopover in Belize.

The service will begin on December 19, 2026 and will remain available until May 1, 2027coinciding with the winter season in North America.

The airline will operate two flights per weekon Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Although the flight will not be direct, it will have the advantage of making a single stopover and continuing on the same air operation, which could simplify the journey compared to traditional connections in US airports.
