Alleged hitmen captured after police chase in Escuintla

This Sunday, June 7, two men were captured by the National Civil Police (PNC) in Escuintla, after a chase. They were identified as Héctor “M”, alias “El Chenco”, and Fredy “M”, alias “El Negro”.

The detainees are allegedly responsible for an armed attack on the route to the El Salto farm, in which two people were injured.

During the chase, the men were riding a motorcycle and shot at the police officers, who repelled the attack and wounded the suspects.

The PNC report indicates that Morales Cosajay has an arrest warrant for illegal carrying of firearms for civilian or sporting use, issued last February by a court in Escuintla.

He also has a record of aggravated robbery, attempted continuous robbery, promoting or encouraging drug addiction and carrying a knife.

Marroquín Ovando has a record of rape.

The two suspects were taken under police custody to a care center.
