Within hours of the 2026 World Cup starting, FIFA announced that Andrea Bocelli will be part of the musical lineup.

The news was confirmed on the Italian’s social networks, where he revealed that he will participate in the pre-tournament celebrations in Mexico. “I am honored to announce that I will participate in the FIFA Countdown Concert, in Mexico City, on June 10,” explained the artist.

He added that he is excited to think about how many people, across continents and cultures, will unite around the same game in the coming days. “Football has a unique way of uniting hearts, generations and nations,” he said.

The FIFA Countdown Concerts will be three shows that will connect the venues in Mexico, the United States and Canada, and will be broadcast around the world.

Mexico City will have a lineup headed by Belinda, Elena Rose, Los Ángeles Azules and Bocelli. In Toronto there will be AHI, Wyclef Jean, Bryan Adams, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, The Beaches and Vegedream.

Los Angeles will receive Ava Max, BIA, Davido and Major Lazer, a musical project led by Diplo. TikTok will be the main platform to follow each presentation and experience the countdown towards the 2026 World Cup in real time.

In Mexico, the concert will begin at 5 p.m., the same time as Guatemala. This event was prepared in collaboration with the Grammy Awards and will feature artists featured on the Official Album of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, along with other international figures, emerging talents and special guests.

Fans around the world will be able to follow the Countdown Concert in Mexico City live on FIFA’s international broadcast platforms and digital channels, including a live global broadcast on the FIFA World Cup account on TikTok, FIFA’s exclusive partner for social media broadcasts.

The full concert, along with unreleased content about its production, will be available the following day on VüMe Live, FIFA’s video-on-demand platform.
