The National Civil Police (PNC) reported that this Thursday, June 11, after a chase and exchange of shots that began in the La Verbena neighborhood and ended in El Amparo, zone 7, they intercepted two gang members accused of having killed two women.
The captured person is Willian “N”, 25 years old, alias “Orejón”, and the agents referred a 16-year-old teenager to the respective court, both members of the Salvatrucha gang, according to the PNC.
The PNC stated that both They are allegedly responsible for an armed attack in which two women, mother and daughter, died. approximately 56 and 25 years old, respectively.
“The gang members are allegedly responsible for this armed attack in the La Verbena neighborhood, which It is presumed related to drug dealing, extreme that is being investigated,” added the police report.
According to the report, upon noticing the police presence and to avoid being captured, the suspects engaged in a shootout with the officers who came to the scene, which led to the chase. A PNC agent was injured in the left leg and was immediately taken to a medical center.

In the incident, two PNC units suffered damage to their structure and one of them suffered a perforation from a firearm projectile.
The investigation continues to establish the motive for the attack. Meanwhile, both suspects were brought before the respective courts.
Other acts of violence
The Volunteer Firefighters reported that at the PNC substation in the Kaminaljuyú 1 neighborhood, zone 7, an agent was injured by a gunshot. He was stabilized and taken to a hospital.
In another incident, a man with gunshot wounds was stabilized and transferred to a health center after being attacked in El Zapote, Villa Canales.
Another armed incident was recorded in Campos del Maracaná, 15 calle final, zone 1 of the capital. At that location, Volunteer Firefighters treated two people who suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Both were stabilized and taken to a hospital.
The Municipal Firefighters reported that on 12th Avenue and 33rd B Street, Santa Fe neighborhood, zone 13, a man was located with multiple wounds caused by a firearm projectile. First responders provided pre-hospital care at the scene and then transported him to a hospital.
The Volunteer Firefighters also reported that a man was shot dead in the El Sauce sector, Ciénaga Grande, San José Pinula.
