With a mix of genres such as hiphop, pop and afrobeats, several artists participated in the celebration of the twenty-third edition of the fifa world cup. The show brought together figures such as Future, Tyla, Lisa, Anitta and Rema.
From the Los Angeles stadium, FIFA closed the three opening shows scheduled for this edition of the tournament, which is held in Mexico, the United States and Canada. The championship will have 104 matches and the participation of 48 teams that will seek to win the title on July 19.
Mexico opened the celebrations on June 11 with performances by Shakira, Burna Boy, Los Ángeles Azules and Belinda, among other artists. Canada, for its part, held a show this Thursday headed by Alessia Cara, Nora Fatehi, Vegedream and Sanjoy, in an example of the country’s cultural diversity.
At 5:40 p.m. in Guatemala the opening ceremony began in Los Angeles. A narrator welcomed the audience with the message: “We are a country built around freedom, celebrating 250 years of spirit, ambition and opportunity,” as martial bands surrounded the main stage.
To the rhythm of the drums, members of the bands, dressed in the colors red, white and blue, starred in the opening. “Today we celebrate in one language. We cheer for our idols in one language, a language of unity: the language of the universal game,” said the main voice of the show.
With the increase in musical intensity, the stage began to transform. A player dressed in gold drove a ball between the sidelines until it reached the main stage, where the World Cup trophy occupied the center of a map of the United States projected on the field.

The first to appear was Future, who played game timeone of the songs on the official album of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The song combines elements of hiphop, pop and afrobeats.
While the singer performed, dancers dressed in white performed a choreography with golden balls. Afterwards, attention focused on Tyla, who continued the presentation accompanied by artists who combined ball acrobatics and dance moves.

The production gave way to Lisa, a member of Blackpink, who played Goalsa song that fuses k-pop, afrobeats and Latin pop. The staging evoked the Los Angeles entertainment industry through sets inspired by some of the most representative landscapes of the United States. Dressed in white, the dancers complemented the visual proposal of the show.
In front of a recreation of the Hollywood sign, the Brazilian singer Anitta joined the presentation, accompanied by a set that simulated a beach. At the rhythm of Goalsthe dancers walked the court around the main stage.
Later, the Nigerian rapper Rema appeared to join the performance, while different representative sets of the United States were integrated into the map projected on the playing field. The musical performance lasted more than seven minutes.
