The campaign managed to motivate customers of the La Torre, Express and Econosuper chains to join the cause by acquiring a Q25 solidarity coupon book. This gesture not only represented direct support for the Margarita Tejada Foundation, but also gave buyers access to special discounts at allied businesses and restaurants.
“The people’s response fills us with joy and motivates us to move forward. Each Q25 coupon book that Guatemalans took home became a scholarship for the future of our children. Thanks to this solidarity, today we have scholarships that will transform lives, providing essential tools for their autonomy and inclusion,” said Tere de Basterrechea, Executive Director of the Foundation.
The proceeds were thanks to the sale of more than 90 thousand coupons. These funds will finance more than 600 scholarships for the comprehensive development programs offered by the Margarita Tejada Foundation to people with Down syndrome.
