The road to General Elections 2027 not only involves citizens at the polls, but also the political parties and organizations who participate in the entire electoral process.
From b to the control of political financing, the calendar establishes a series of deadlines that define the route that the groups must follow to compete in the elections.
Among the first relevant steps is the candidate registration, stage in which the parties must officially present the people who will aspire to the different popularly elected positions.
In parallel, the appointment of national prosecutors is also being developed, who will be in charge of representing political organizations before the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) and supervise the development of the process.
Another important point is the constitution of civic electoral committees, which allows the participation of citizen organizations interested in competing for municipal corporations, thus expanding the spectrum of political participation within the electoral process.
Later, the calendar establishes the election campaign period, during which the parties will be able to promote their candidates, disseminate proposals and request the vote of the population within the established legal framework.
The schedule also includes moments of high institutional relevance, such as the publication of political financingwhere the Court will announce the income and contributions received by political organizations, strengthening the transparency of the process.
Subsequently, the scrutiny review stage opens, in which the parties can verify minutes and present observations in accordance with the law, as part of the technical closure of the voting process.
Finally, the calendar includes dates related to a eventual presidential second round, including the last day for the publication of polls and the possible holding of the second round between the two binomials with the most votes, if neither reaches the required majority.
