The Municipal Firefighters were alerted this Tuesday, June 30, about an armed attack at kilometer 6 of the old highway to San Pedro Ayampuc, near the Santa Marta bridge.
According to the report, the act of violence occurred inside an extra-urban bus that was headed to San José Nacahuil.
Lifeguards located the bus at the entrance to the San Julián village, zone 6 of Chinautla, because, according to preliminary information, the pilot decided to continue the journey in search of help.
At that location, paramedics provided pre-hospital care to two people. The first was identified as Santiago Ortiz Vázquez, 71, who suffered gunshot wounds to the face and left arm. After being stabilized, he was transferred to a hospital.
The second victim is a 17-year-old teenager, who suffered multiple injuries to his face caused by glass splinters. After being stabilized, he was transferred to a care center.
“Competent authorities were present and were in charge of the proceedings and investigations related to this incident,” indicated the Municipal Firefighters.

According to preliminary information, this armed attack may have originated during an attempted assault inside the extra-urban transportation unit. This version will be confirmed or discarded by the authorities as the investigations progress.
The Volunteer Firefighters responded to an emergency on the Santa Marta bridge, Chinautla. They indicated that a person died in that place during an armed attack.
The victim was left on one of the lanes and the motive for the crime is unknown.
