Venezuelan actor Franklin Virgüez, famous for playing General Diosdado Carreño Arias in the television series The Lord of the Skieswas arrested in Miami-Dade County, southeastern Florida, for alleged indecent exposure.
According to the police report cited by international media, The artist, 72 years old, was reportedly surprised on Wednesday, July 1, at 11:30 a.m., when he was inside a car with his private parts exposed.
Virgüez was parked at Doral Park Country Club, in front of the community pool and playground, where there were several children between 4 and 5 years old.
A person who was heading to the gym and passed by the vehicle observed it and notified the employees there. He then returned to record it, call the police and hand over the video as evidence.
When he was discovered, the actor fled the scene, but his license plate number allowed the police to locate him at his home, where he was arrested.
“It was observed that his pants had multiple stains in the crotch area, compatible with semen. The accused was taken to the interview room of the City of Doral Police Department, where he was notified of his Miranda rights using the form in Spanish,” the police report indicates.
Virgüez appeared in court on Thursday, July 2, accused of alleged indecent exposure. At the hearing, bail was set at US$5,000. The next hearing will take place on July 23.
The actor is known for his participation in numerous Venezuelan television and film productions, such as The Lord of the Skies, Through these streets, Selva Maria and Rebel Angel.
