Edwin Curtidor, mayor of Customs of the Superintendence of Tax Administration (Satg), informed that this Monday, March 3, the blockade was removed on the CA-2 Oriente route, towards the Customs Pedro de Alvarado, Jutiapa.

The interruption of the vehicular passage began on Thursday, March 27, which originated long lines of heavy transport.

Villagers kept the passage on the Bernal Díaz del Castillo bridge to El Salvador, as a pressure measure to repair a road section known as La Barona, in Moyuta, in the same department.

According to estimates, some 600 heavy transport vehicles with diverse merchandise remained stranded on the road.

On Sunday, March 2, the Constitutional Court granted a provisional amparo to the Chambers of Industry and Commerce so that the blockade was removed.

Many people and carriers were affected in their activities due to the blockade that lasted at least four days.
