The ambition to get public office has no rest in some politicians who, after having failed in the last electoral event, seek to integrate new organizations to achieve their mission.
The data of the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) confirm that seven committees that seek to be political parties for the 2027 elections have as common denominator the characters who have already tried to be officials.
They are new projects, but they keep ancient militants of already established parties in their ranks; Some, with participation in Vamos, the National Advanced Party (PAN) and the National Convergence Front (FCN), that is, three that have already made government. Others have participated in groups such as Citizen Prosperity, Force and Cabal.
Consulted analysts consider that many of the new political offers will be nothing more than platforms so that a few seek to achieve fees of power and resources, leaving aside projects or strategies that mean a structural growth of the country, which should be one of the purposes of Party organizations.
The options
The first committee to integrate a political group detailing the TSE, to January 24, is force for Guatemala, which is as secretary to the presidential former presidential of 2023, Mauricio Radford, who sought the presidential chair with force.
Patria follows, with his secretary, Elmer Lucas Shicay, who was already a candidate for deputy with PAN – by the district of Sololá – in 2023.
Xguate also appears, represented by Manuel Haroldo Castillo Reina, ex -candidate for legislator of Cabal by Chimaltenango. His new group is identified as centrist ideology.
Citizen Renewal is identified as a center-right, and has as secretary Edwin Oswaldo Casprowitz, who was an assistant to the administrative management of Congress at the beginning of 2024.
The organization also includes the organization, with its secretary, Erwing Tobar. The group ensures that it does not “believe in ideologies.”
This committee has in its ranks Carlos Pineda, former presidential ex -candidate for Citizen Prosperity, who is in charge of the Institute of Government and Political Training.
Also, in the list is national transformation, with Ramón Aguilar Reyes, former candidate for the Central American Parliament (Parlacén) in 2023, of Citizen Prosperity, and former head of FCN Financial Control. This committee did not mean what ideology follows.
Finally, the Guatemalan Liberal Party appears, whose secretary is Camilo Johanes Dedet Casprowitz – at the time, one of the people in the circle of confidence of Alejandro Giammattei.
Dedet was the Executive Secretary of the Presidency at the beginning of the Giammattei government. He won a space in Parlacén and was secretary of organization of the Vamos Party.
The intentions
Only Xguate and Citizen Renewal defined their political ideology. Serving said not to have it, and the rest did not respond to calls in the phone numbers they have registered in the TSE.

“It is confirmed that the creation of political parties lacks political principles, lacks ideology and training; (these) have no country reading and having a nation proposal does not exist, ”he said.
Many of the current and future political organizations are “empty shells”, for consideration of Hidalgo, since the intentions of the parties and their leaders are alien to the reality of the country.
“They seek to capitalize on power fees to access financial positions and to access classified or reserved information, to even boost the underworld and have some kind of benefit,” Hidalgo criticized.
