Authorities warn of traffic due to the return of vacationers to the capital after Easter

This Sunday, April 5, several Guatemalans will return to the capital after the Easter break, which will involve a greater number of vehicles in the different accesses to Guatemala City.

For this reason, the traffic authorities have reported on the points where the greatest traffic flow is expected on the return to the capital.

Amílcar Montejo, transit mayor of Guatemala City, reported on his social networks that several users will enter the capital in the morning and at noon.

Regarding the entry points to the capital where the greatest number of drivers is expected, Montejo listed the following:

  • Inter-American Route, CA-1 West

For its part, the National Civil Traffic Police reported on its social networks about several control operations in different parts of the country to improve vehicular mobility.

Some routes where the traffic authorities are located They are CA-14 and CA-9 North.

Since this Sunday there have been reports long lines of vehicles on the way back to Guatemala City.

One of the points is the route to Cocales, Suchitepéquez, and the ring road from kilometer 113.

According to journalist Charlie Gonzálezthe line of vehicles is approximately ten kilometers.

In turn, long lines of vehicles can already be seen in different areas of the capital city after the end of the Easter break, as on the route to the Pacific.
