The Departmental Municipal Firefighters reported that at least three people lost their lives in acts of violence recorded in the last hours.
One of the events occurred in a convenience store in the village of San Ixtán, Jalpatagua, Jutiapa. At the scene, a man died from gunshot wounds.
In another case, an armed incident was recorded in the village of La Soledad, San Lorenzo, Suchitepéquez.
In that place, a man died on public roads due to the severity of his injuries. The authorities are investigating the motive for the crime.
In the Poza Sucia sector, zone 3 of Fraijanes, a person died in an armed attack while moving down the street.
They kill a PNC agent
The National Civil Police (PNC) reported that agent Víctor Hugo Vázquez Lorenzo, 25, died after being attacked with a knife in El Asintal, Retalhuleu.
The victim suffered several serious injuries that caused his death. The agent was on break.
