Two minors and a woman are those who died in Jalapa; Police give details of the armed attack in the market

The authorities identified the three people who died in the armed attack that occurred in the Jalapa municipal market, while the National Civil Police (PNC) links the incident to a fight between gangs.

According to the Police report, the fatal victims are Dominic, 16 years old; Anderson, 15, and Aura Corina Nájera Mateo, 39.

Víctor Miguel González Rojas, 37, was also injured in the attack and was transferred to the Nicolasa Cruz National Hospital in Jalapa.

According to the PNC, the attack could be related to a rivalry between criminal groups, an issue that remains under investigation.

The tenants told investigators that the two minors were selling fruits and vegetables in the market when other subjects approached and shot them. They added that Nájera and González were hit by stray bullets.

PNC detains three minors

In this case, three teenagers, alleged members of Barrio 18, were arrested for their alleged participation in the armed attack.

As a result of operations carried out by agents from the 22nd police station, together with investigators from the General Subdirectorate of Criminal Investigation (SGIC), two minors, aged 13 and 17, were located in the La Democracia neighborhood, zone 1 of Jalapa.

According to the Police, both were riding aboard a Suzuki brand motorcycle, M-507DXD, which had a theft report on March 17 in Sanarate, El Progreso. During the procedure, a 9 millimeter caliber pistol and two magazines were seized.

In addition, another minor, 17 years old, was located at the entrance to the general cemetery of Jalapa, who was trying to flee on foot, the Police indicated. At the time of his identification, several ammunition of different calibers were seized.
