Investigators from the National Civil Police (PNC) captured Melany “N”, 23 years old, in the El Rosario neighborhood, zone 18.
The PNC reported this Thursday, April 23, that the arrest was carried out in compliance with an arrest warrant issued by a court in Chiquimula.
The detainee is charged with the crime of fraudulent use of credit or debit cards.
According to the PNC, the captured woman was allegedly posing as a representative of a telephone company.
Then, through deception, he deactivated the victim’s line to access their personal information and carry out unauthorized banking transactions.

On April 20, the PNC reported the capture of a man in zone 17, accused of fraud with bank cards, after an investigation by the Public Ministry that links him to deception to obtain personal data.
The detainee is accused of the crime of fraudulent use of credit or debit cards, reported the Chiquimula District Prosecutor’s Office.
