Children eligible for IRS refund

As stated by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), to be considered a child eligible for reimbursement of US$1,700 (Q12,990), corresponding to the support of the Additional Tax Credit for Children, the minor generally must:

  • Be less than 17 years at the end of the fiscal year.
  • Being unable to contribute more than half of your own livelihood during the fiscal year.
  • Having lived with him taxpayer for more than half of the fiscal year.
  • Be declared as dependent on your tax return.
  • Be citizen American or legal resident in the United States.

The Internal Revenue Service reminds that taxpayers must have earned income of at least US$2 thousand 500 (Q19 thousand 100) to be eligible for support from the Additional Child Tax Credit, therefore, in order to receive this refundthey must present their statement and include the credit that corresponds to them.

How to claim a refund?
