The Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois returned to training with Real Madrid this Monday, after overcoming an injury that kept him out for a month due to right quadriceps discomfort suffered against Manchester City.
Courtois, who was injured at halftime in that Champions League match, completed the work session, at the beginning of preparation for Sunday’s classic against Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou.
The goalkeeper has lost eight games, including the derby against Atlético de Madrid and the Champions League quarterfinal series against Bayern Munich.
On the other hand, Frenchman Ferland Mendy is out after confirming an injury to the rectus femoris tendon in his right leg, suffered in the duel against Espanyol. His return will depend on the evolution.
Furthermore, players like Dani Carvajal, Arda Güler, Kylian Mbappé, Éder Militao and Rodrygo continue with their recovery processes.
Meanwhile, the starters in the victory against Espanyol carried out regenerative work, and the rest of the squad trained normally.
