More than 50 motorcyclists sanctioned in an operation against clandestine races in the Interamericana

Agents from the Traffic Department of the National Civil Police carry out a preventive operation at kilometer 30 of the CA-1 West route, focused on motorcycle drivers.

Police officers verify in San Lucas Sacatepéquez, Sacatepéquez, that motorists carry the respective documentation, such as a driver’s license, registration card and sticker.

The PNC assures that the objective is to avoid clandestine races and behaviors that put road safety and the lives of third parties at risk.

The Police recommend driving with caution, carrying visible documents and license plates, avoiding dangerous maneuvers and collaborating with the authorities.

The authorities, so far, have identified 255 people, requested 197 solvencies and imposed 53 fines for the following reasons:

  • Exhaust modifications
  • Not having a license or having it expired
  • Carry out reckless maneuvers not permitted on public roads
