An experience that invites you to rediscover the Historic Center

Within the framework of the commemoration of the 250 years of the capital, the event “What the churches tell” was presented, a cultural and visual experience that explores history, art, architectural wealth and Guatemalan identity through the emblematic temples of the city.

The initiative, promoted by Banco Industrial together with cultural allies, is part of a vision aimed at promoting the preservation of heritage and strengthening cultural identity, generating spaces that connect the population with its history and traditions.

Through a guided visual tour of five iconic churches in the city, art history experts shared how religious architecture communicates concepts such as strength, hope, community, and the mestizo identity that defines Guatemala.

The event allowed attendees to observe these spaces from a new perspective, not only as places of worship, but as historical documents that contribute to understanding who we are as a society.

This initiative promoted a meeting between history, culture and collective reflection, highlighting the importance of preserving the cultural legacy that is part of the country’s identity.
