The uncertainty came to an end. Communications FC confirmed on the night of Friday, May 15, the renewal of Guatemalan defender Stheven Robles, who will continue to be linked to the albo team for the 2026-2027 season.
The announcement was made through the cream club’s social networks, where they shared a photograph of the player wearing the white uniform and the characteristic number 13, accompanied by the message: “Stheven Robles, renewed.”
During recent weeks, the future of the national defender had generated multiple rumors and speculation in Guatemalan soccer.
There was strong talk on social media that Robles could become a new player for Xelajú MC, which will play in the final of the Clausura 2026 tournament against Municipal.
The possibility of an exit caused uncertainty among the Quetzaltecan fans and also controversy among Communications fans, who expected the continuity of one of the players most identified with the cream institution.
However, the official announcement from the Albo club ended up clearing up any doubts about the footballer’s future.
It is not the first time that Stheven Robles’ name appears linked to exit rumors. This is the second time that speculation has arisen about a possible goodbye for “El Pelón” Robles de Comunicaciones.
