This Tuesday, May 19, the National Civil Police (PNC) expanded the details of the chase against two alleged criminals, which began in zone 7 and ended on Bolívar Avenue.

He added that on Monday night two men took the life of a person in the Cuatro de Febrero neighborhood. The chase included agents from two police stations, who located them in a sector of zone 8.

He indicated that, on Bolívar Avenue, the alleged criminals shot at the police officers, who repelled the attack and stopped the motorcycle on which they were traveling.

At that moment, the agents realized that Germán “N” had been injured, so the PNC coordinated assistance from the Volunteer Firefighters. Rescuers tried to revive him, but he died. His accomplice, José “N”, 21, was captured.

According to the PNC, six stolen cell phones, marijuana, the weapon used in the crime and a motorcycle were seized from those detained. Both are residents of the Bethania neighborhood, zone 7.

“The police leadership sends all the necessary support to the brave police officers who acted in self-defense and that of the citizens themselves. It is estimated that the detainee and deceased are hitmen and thieves who belong to one of the gangs,” stated the PNC.

Criminal profile

The PNC added that both have been captured in different years and places, and placed at the disposal of the courts.

On May 9, 2025, agents from Police Station 14 captured José “N” along with another man in El Búcaro, zone 12 of Villa Nueva. The police seized 12 cell phones whose origin they could not justify.

On January 29, 2026, he was also captured along with two other men in the El Progreso neighborhood, zone 11. On that occasion, nine cell phones were seized from him.

Germán “N” was captured on June 3, 2024 along with a woman on Petapa Avenue, zone 12. Investigators seized nine cell phones from them, including one high-end.
