Will Neymar’s image be added to the official 2026 World Cup album?

The call-up of Brazilian forward Neymar Jr. for the next international competition opened an unexpected mystery among collectors of the official album of the 2026 World Cup. Until now there is no confirmation about a possible update that includes the attacker within the collection.

The debate arose because the player did not appear in the first printing of the album, since at the time of production he was not yet listed as a fixed option within the calls for the team led by Carlo Ancelotti. His recent call ended up surprising both fans and collectors.

In previous tournaments, the company in charge of the Panini album has released additional sets or special prints to correct absences caused by last-minute calls. However, so far no similar measure has been announced for this 2026 edition.

As uncertainty continues, many fans have decided to wait before completing some pages of the album, in the hope that an official update featuring the Brazilian forward may appear in the coming weeks.

What we do know

  • Neymar was called up by Ancelotti for the 2026 World Cup on May 18
  • Does not appear on the first printing of the official tournament album
  • There is no official confirmation of any update or additional package
  • The final lists of all the teams will be known on June 2 at the latest
  • In previous editions, additional sets have been released to correct similar omissions days before the tournament

The recommendation for collectors is to wait for the final lists of all teams to be confirmed before the start of the tournament on June 11, at which time there will be greater clarity on whether or not there will be an official update that includes Neymar and other players called up at the last minute in their respective countries.
