South Korea beat the Czech Republic 2-1 this Thursday, June 11 at the Akron Stadium, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, in the second match of Group A of the 2026 World Cup.
The Czechs took the lead in the 59th minute with a header from Ladislav Krejčí, assisted by Vladimír Coufal. South Korea tied in the 67th minute with a great finish from Hwang In-beom.
The second South Korean goal came around the 80th minute through Oh Hyeon-gyu, which completed the comeback and gave the Asian team the three points.
Both members of group A met at the Akron stadium in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The opening match was won by Mexico against South Africa 2-0.
