The Insivumeh Analysis and Forecasting Center detailed what the weather conditions will be like for this Thursday, June 25, and in which regions rain is expected.
Ana Pérez, forecaster, indicated that the entry of humidity from both coasts is expected to continue, mainly from the Caribbean Sea.
The entry of humidity will cause rains in the mouth of the coast, the south of the West and sectors of the Transverse Belt of the North and the Caribbean, where high accumulations could be recorded during the afternoon and the precipitation could extend during the night.
According to Pérez, these rains would be accompanied by electrical activity and the presence of local rains in other sectors of the country is not ruled out.
The warm atmosphere continues in the south and north of the national territory, although in sectors of the West and part of the Northern Transverse Strip the abundant cloudiness could favor cooler temperatures, with maximums of between 23 °C and 25 °C.
In the central highlands, maximum temperatures will continue to range between 28°C and 30°C at midday.
During the night, partial cloudiness will prevail in much of the country.
In sectors of the bocacosta, the south and the Caribbean, rains accompanied by electrical activity could extend until early Friday morning.
The conditions are favorable for the formation of severe local storms, with abundant rain, strong wind and possible hail, which could cause river flooding, flooding, mass movements or lahars in the volcanic chain.
