The president in charge of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported this June 25 that the death toll from the earthquakes of magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 amounts, so far, to 164. In addition, 971 injuries are reported.
Rodríguez also reported that they have registered up to 39 replicas after the earthquakes.
During the night of June 24, Rodríguez, together with government authorities, indicated that they have made efforts with the central objective of “saving lives” and rescuing people buried by the collapse of buildings and homes.
Likewise, he announced the arrival of rescuers of countries that have communicated with Venezuela. Also thanked Donald Trump and to the United States for their messages.
Other countries that have offered help to Venezuela are Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, Qatar, China, Brazil, Belize, Saint Lucia, Dominica and Antigua and Barbuda.
Rodríguez confirmed that the most affected area is La Guaira, where dozens of collapsed buildings. He also expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased victims.

The Government of Venezuela suspended classes and all non-essential activities of public services. Besides, made hotels and shelters available for affected people who lost or saw their homes damaged.

According to a projection by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquakes recorded off the coast of Venezuela could leave a potential balance of between 10 million and 100 thousand deathsaccording to the preliminary evaluation of its PAGER system, which also anticipates significant economic losses.
Rodríguez declared a state of emergency after the earthquakes that affected the central area of Venezuela and announced the activation of the entire public and private health network.
For his part, the Salvadoran president, Nayib Bukele assured that 300 rescuers and paramedics, along with 50 tons of equipmentmedicines and essential supplies, leave this June 25 for Caracas.

The kings of Spain sent a message of support and solidarity to the Venezuelan people.
“We want to convey our solidarity, our affection and our strength for all the injured and the communities that have suffered the disaster,” the message indicates.
