Undermining work in Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa affects the passage to Escuintla

An undermining at km 103 of the CA-2 West route, in Santa Lucía Cotzumalguapa, Escuintla, forced rehabilitation work to begin and a partial closure to be implemented, with a reversible lane enabled to maintain vehicular circulation, the Road Conservation Execution Unit (Covial) reported this Tuesday, April 14.

As part of traffic management, the track from west to east was disabled, in the section from Cocales to Escuintla. To maintain circulation, a reversible lane was enabled on the opposite road, according to the authorities of the Ministry of Communications.

In addition, the returns were readjusted: the incorporation begins at km 104 and the usual route resumes at km 102.8.

The authorities recommended that users reduce speed, use emergency lights when approaching, avoid stopping to take photographs or videos and follow the instructions of Provial agents.
