Remembered for his roles in various programs of the mexican television, Ricardo de Pascual died this Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the age of 85.
His death was confirmed in the early morning hours by the National Association of Actors in Mexico, which made a publication on its social networks to share its condolences.
“The National Association of Actors regrets the sensitive death of our colleague Ricardo de Pascual. Our deepest condolences to family, friends and colleagues. RIP,” the post says.
To date, the causes of his death are unknown; However, international media highlight that In recent years the actor had been suffering from a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)information that he himself shared during an interview on the Matilde Obregón program, in October 2025.
“I have COPD because I didn’t understand that smoking is harmful. When I was young I smoked for 20 years, I have not smoked for 45 years. I learned to smoke through a play and the habit stuck (…) after a long time, up to three packs a day. Apparently his lungs were fine, after I got Covid It turned out not, and COPD declared itself,” he commented on that occasion.
This condition had limited his respiratory capacity for about 15 years, forcing him to use oxygen 24 hours a day and remain at rest.
De Pascual was born on August 21, 1940 in Mexico City.
