According to price monitoring carried out by Prensa Libre since February 28 —when the conflict between the United States and Iran began that led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz—, the market has reacted to changes in the geopolitical scenario.
A partial ceasefire was recorded on April 7, and on April 21, former US President Donald Trump announced that the truce would be extended. However, it is still not clear when the passage of crude oil through the area will be completely normalized.
Since the beginning of the truce, the fuel prices have shown moderate discounts in the local market.
Diesel price after the third reduction
According to monitoring in self-service mode, the diesel price this is located April 22 between Q40.69 and Q40.66 per gallonaccumulating its third reduction in the month.

Higher and regular gasoline price

Expectation for subsidy
Although there is no certainty about new casualties in the short term, the authorities have indicated that the fuel subsidy should begin to be reflected in prices at service stations from May 1.
