This Joint Venture or joint venture, integrates the experience of Grupo Bios in the premium pet food category, with the regional presence, infrastructure and market knowledge of CMI Alimentos; consolidating a joint operation to strengthen the development of this category in Central America and the Caribbean.
As part of this structure, the operation includes distribution in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, as well as the integration of brands to the portfolio in Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras.
“At CMI we understand growth as the ability to anticipate opportunities and develop them with a long-term vision. This alliance with Grupo Bios reflects our way of doing business: working alongside those who share our values, our purpose and our commitment to the development of the region,” said Juan José Gutiérrez, Chairman of CMI Alimentos.
As part of this alliance, CMI incorporates Grupo Bios brands such as Vivance, Nutriss, Ringo, Mirringo and Filpo into the regional portfolio, which complement CMI’s current brands: Rufo, Alimiau, Rambocan and Alimax, thus expanding its value proposition in nutrition for pets in the region.

Both companies, recognized for their family origins, their commitment to sustainability and their focus on innovation, thus continue a growth strategy based on alliances that promote investment, competitiveness and development in the countries where they operate.
“This alliance represents a firm step in our regional growth strategy. The complementarity between both organizations allows us to strengthen our value proposition, expand the scope of the portfolio and continue consolidating our presence in a category with high development potential in Central America and the Caribbean,” concluded Daniel Maldonado, CEO Latam of CMI Alimentos.
