The impact of this initiative transcends the delivery of garments. Through the Dress for Success programs, beneficiaries access advice and support aimed at strengthening their skills, confidence and preparation for the world of work, contributing to improving their job placement opportunities.
The campaign developed during March actively mobilized the bank’s employees, who, through their commitment and solidarity, managed to collect more than 147 items of clothing, including blazers, dress pants, skirts, formal dresses and blouses.
“This campaign showed us that when we join forces, we manage to generate a real impact on people’s lives. Each donated garment represents an opportunity for more women to gain access to decent employment and strengthen their economic autonomy,” highlighted Alejandra Quiñonez, Sustainability Manager at InterBanco.
This initiative was born as part of the actions promoted by InterBanco within the framework of International Women’s Day; However, its impact transcends this commemorative date. With the aim of providing sustainability to the alliance with Dress for Success, a permanent collection container has been set up at the InterBanco headquarters, which will allow us to continue collecting garments throughout the year and continue supporting more women on their path to new job opportunities.
The initiative promotes the circular economy by extending the useful life of garments and reducing textile waste, while promoting a culture of responsible consumption among collaborators. This effort reflects how everyday actions can scale in impact, simultaneously contributing to the care of the environment and the generation of opportunities for those who need it most.
With these types of actions, InterBanco consolidates its sustainability strategy, promoting initiatives with high social impact and reaffirming its commitment to the generation of opportunities and social development.
