“I loved that a lot of people come with comic book sweatshirts, anime dresses; they’ve come from Dragon Ball Z, from Haikyuuvideo games. The spirit of the people of Xela is very “geeky” and they like anime. They all come with something distinctive about what they like: Spider-Man, Batman; We have seen children dressed up. Children, young people, adults and seniors are present at the event, which brings together conferences, exhibitions, video game tournaments, cosplay contests and film and television personalities.

Comic-Con Xela began this Saturday, May 16, 2026 and will continue on Sunday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. About eight thousand people are expected to participate, both from Quetzaltenango and other departments in the southwestern part of the country.
There are still tickets available for both days at the box office. Adults and cosplayers pay Q80 in cash or Q100 by card. Adults over 60 years of age with DPI and children up to 1.40 meters pay Q40. Children from 0 to 3 years old enter for free.
