Carlos Zamora García took over as head of the Information and Press Department of the Public Ministry (MP), more than a month after the arrival of Attorney General Gabriel García Luna, the Prosecutor’s Office reported this Thursday, June 18.
According to the MP, Zamora, who has a degree in Diplomacy and International Relations and a master’s degree in Public Image and Strategic Media Planning, comes to the position with experience in institutional communication, reputational management, digital positioning and content production.
The new official replaces Moisés Ortiz, who headed the Information and Press Department after Juan Luis Pantaleón was promoted to advisor to the office of the then attorney general, Consuelo Porras.
According to the information released by the Public Ministry, Zamora has complementary training in areas such as digital reputation, public management, project development and international protocol. In addition, he has worked on the coordination of institutional communication strategies, audiovisual coverage of events and social media management.
The designation occurs at times of changes within the administrative and communication structure of the investigative entity, after the arrival of the new authorities.
From his new role, Zamora will be in charge of coordinating the institutional communication of the Public Ministry and the informative relationship with the media and citizens.
