The National Civil Police (PNC) expanded details of the armed attack in the Jalapa market, which left three people dead.
This Tuesday, April 14, he detailed that two men, ages 20 and 25, died at the scene, who are presumed to belong to a gang.
While another man, 37 years old, and a woman, approximately 39, were taken to a healthcare center, one of them died, the PNC detailed.
He added that three teenagers, alleged members of the Barrio 18 gang, were referred to the respective court for their alleged participation in the armed attack recorded on April 13.
The PNC added that, as a result of actions carried out by agents from Police Station 22, together with investigators from the General Subdirectorate of Criminal Investigation, in response to citizen complaints, they located two minors in the La Democracia neighborhood, zone 1 of Jalapa.
According to the PNC, both were riding on a motorcycle that was reported stolen by armed individuals on March 17, in Sanarate, El Progreso.

During the procedure, a 9 millimeter caliber pistol and two magazines were seized, the PNC stated.
He added that, at the entrance to the general cemetery of Jalapa, another minor was located, who tried to flee on foot. At the time of his identification, several ammunition of different calibers were seized, according to the police report.
According to the PNC’s hypothesis, the attack could be linked to rivalry between gangs, an issue that continues under investigation.
The adolescents were placed at the disposal of the competent court to resolve their legal situation, the PNC indicated.
