This Friday, April 24, the Volunteer Firefighters located possible human remains inside bags on the 1st. avenue and 11th street, San Antonio neighborhood, Amatitlán.
According to the report, the discovery occurred in a warehouse area, where lifeguards verified a suspicious package after receiving the alert from neighbors.
Firefighters cordoned off the area and immediately notified the corresponding authorities to begin investigation procedures.
In recent days, bodies have been located in different parts of the country. One of these cases occurred on April 20, when a body was found in the Bethania neighborhood, zone 7 of the capital.
On April 21, three bodies in bags and sheets were found in the La Reformita neighborhood, zone 12.
One day later, bags with human remains were found at kilometer 9 of the old route to Chinautla, in a sector located on the limits of zone 6 of the capital, the Volunteer Firefighters reported.
Armed attack in Amatitlán
The Departmental Municipal Firefighters reported that this Friday, April 24, an armed incident was recorded at the entrance to the El Chajil alley, Laguna Seca village, Amatitlán. They added that one person died at the scene and another was injured.
