A security camera captured the interaction of several people inside a cevichería located on 8th street and 18th avenue, zone 6 of the capital, minutes before the armed attack that occurred on April 21.
According to initial investigations, the victims knew each other. The authorities are investigating possible links between them and Noemí Sinay Hernández, whom they point out as an alleged member of Barrio 18, and against whom the attack was supposedly directed, which left six dead, including her among the victims.
In the video you can see Sinay, Engel Labor, Dimas Gunera, Kimberly Pérez and Domingo Isaías Boch while they share in the establishment. Subsequently, they are distributed among different tables and order food.
All of them were fatal victims of the armed attack at the cevichería. The sixth victim was César Hernández.
A researcher indicated that the background of the deceased and their family environments are monitored.
He added that, in the case of Hernández, who worked as a forklift operator, no links to illegal activities have been identified and he did not have any interaction with the other people in the cevichería.
According to police information, Sinay also worked as a motorcycle taxi driver in the sector.
At the scene, prosecutors from the Public Ministry located 96 clues and three video surveillance cameras that recorded the sequence of the attack and the alleged perpetrators.
Four hitmen arrived at the cevicheria
Preliminary investigations indicate that four alleged hitmen from the Mara Salvatrucha were traveling on two motorcycles.
Two of them got out and entered the business, where they shot at those who were inside. Meanwhile, the drivers remained outside.
After the attack, those involved fled towards the Martinico neighborhood.
Ongoing investigation
The authorities reported that the attack would have targeted Noemí Sinay Hernández and another person who accompanied her. However, research continues to develop.
According to the National Civil Police (PNC), the possible participation of Daniel Roberto Arias Figueroa, alias “el Enano”, identified as the leader of a criminal structure, who allegedly ordered the attack from the Renovation I Maximum Security Detention Center, is being investigated.
In this case, a court issued a new arrest warrant for the crimes of murder, attempted murder and illicit association. The Police reported that they were notified of the new process against them.
Arias Figueroa was captured on October 21, 2025 and transferred on March 2, 2026 to Renovación I. According to the authorities, from that place he would continue issuing instructions to criminal structures that operate in different sectors of the capital.
