The American president, donald trumpsaid this Sunday on Truth Social that Iran has been “beating” the United States for almost half a century but “will no longer laugh” at his country, coinciding with reports that Tehran has responded to Washington’s peace proposal.
“For 47 years the Iranians have been ‘beating’ us, making us wait, killing our people with their roadside bombs, destroying protests and, recently, annihilating 42 thousand innocent and unarmed protesters, and laughing at our now great country again,” Trump wrote.
“They won’t laugh anymore!”, the Republican president concludes his message, in which he attacks the former Democratic president above all. Barack Obama (2009-2017), for supposedly giving Iran “a new life” in the form of money, but also against his predecessor, Joe Biden (2021-2025).
The statements came around the time when Pakistan confirmed having received the Iranian Government’s response to the latest peace proposal presented by the United States to end the war in the Persian Gulf, the details of which are still unknown.
In addition, this Sunday the ‘Full Measure’ program released an interview with Trump previously recorded during the week in which the president insisted that Iran has been “defeated” but “that does not mean they are finished,” and threatened more “targets.”
“We could go two more weeks and meet each and every one of (our) objectives. We have certain objectives that we wanted… We have probably met 70%, but we have other objectives that we could attack,” he told journalist Sharyl Attkisson, according to the transcript.
Trump added in that program that the US is still pending the reserves of Iranian enriched uraniuma major point of friction in the peace negotiation, and stated that Washington “will get hold of them at some point” and if “someone approaches the place, we will know and we will blow them up.”
