Anti-narcotics agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) located firearms and ammunition in a parcel box during an inspection in a warehouse of the Santo Tomás de Castilla National Port Company, in Puerto Barrios, Izabal.

The authorities reported that the box came from the United States.

In a preliminary report, the PNC reported on the seizure of 21 rifles, two firearms, three pistol barrels, two magazines and a total of 3,037 ammunition of different calibers.

The discovery occurred during a inspection carried out as part of the controls that take place in the port terminal.

Similar findings

On May 7, the PNC also seized 26 rifles and two handguns in a container in the Port of Santo Tomás de Castilla.
