Police from Police Station 15 captured four people allegedly responsible for the theft of a truck and recovered the vehicle, reported the National Civil Police (PNC).
The seizure of an illegally carried firearm and a motorcycle used to guard the stolen car was also reported.
The PNC expanded that the operation took place during the early hours of this Thursday, June 4, at kilometer 35 of the ring road to Lake Amatitlán, in the section of the village of El Tacatón, Amatitlán, where the suspects were neutralized after a police chase.
The agents were alerted about the theft of a truck at kilometer 25.5, in the sector known as Vuelta al Gancho.
According to the complaint, several armed individuals intercepted the vehicle, removed the occupants and left them on the asphalt. Then they tried to flee, the PNC added.
After the alert, police units began the search, located the truck and captured the alleged perpetrators.

Toy gun seized
The PNC added that the detainees were identified as Víctor “N”, 35 years old; Guillermo “N”, 32; Eleazar “N”, 22, and Breyner “N”, 20.
Two of the detainees were traveling on a motorcycle while They were guarding the stolen truck and carrying a toy gun.
The detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent authorities to continue with the corresponding procedures.
