The June 2026 Festival will reach its final stretch with a program that brings together different artistic expressions and offers Guatemalans a range of activities for the whole family.

From the tribute Heroes of Symphonic Silence Until the II International Meeting of Traditional Music and Dance, the Miguel Ángel Asturias Cultural Center will be the scene of musical, theatrical and dance presentations.

During its last week, the festival will include free activities, such as the Exhibition of Engravings by Miguel Ángel Asturias, and other low-cost ones, such as Rhapsody in Blue: A musical journey from New York to Warsawwith the purpose of bringing art closer to citizens.

The activities will take place in the Efraín Recinos Great Hall, the Hugo Carrillo Chamber Theater and other spaces in the cultural complex.

One of the most notable presentations will be Heroes of Symphonic Silencewhich will reunite the Guatemalan band Ultimate with former members Alan Boguslavsky and Gonzalo Valdivia. Accompanied by a chamber orchestra under the direction of maestro Martín Corleto, they will offer a concert that fuses rock with symphonic music.

Likewise, the program will include a recital with two emblematic works from the repertoire for piano and orchestra: the Rhapsody in Blueby George Gershwin, and the Warsaw concertby Richard Addinsell, presented in an intimate format for solo piano, according to the event synopsis.

On Sunday, June 28, the twenty-first edition of the festival will conclude with the closing gala Guatemala forevera show in which artists from the Ministry of Culture and Sports will participate.

The programming includes cinema, theater, dance and concerts for audiences of all ages.

From Tuesday to Saturday, activities will begin at 7 or 8 p.m. On Sunday there will be performances at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
