The Departmental Municipal Firefighters reported that in the urban area of La Blanca, San Marcos, a man and a woman were shot to death.
The victims were walking down the street when they were attacked for reasons that are still unknown.
In another incident, in the El Porvenir neighborhood, Monjas, Jalapa, an armed attack against a man occurred.
Lifeguards from the Monjas station tried to help the victim, but he no longer had vital signs, so they notified the corresponding authorities. The attack occurred in a building that apparently operates as a business.
The Volunteer Firefighters reported the discovery of a body wrapped in sheets on the route to Chichimecas, Villa Canales.
The body was abandoned on the side of the road, in the Rustrián hamlet. The identity of the person is unknown.
The Guatemalan Red Cross reported that it located a person who died of unknown causes in the municipal landfill in zone 12 of Cobán, Alta Verapaz. The causes of death are unknown and, according to the Red Cross, the person was identified as Edgar Pop, 35 years old.
The Municipal Firefighters reported the discovery of the body of a man on Atanasio Tzul road and 24 street, zone 12.
They added that the body has some bruises; However, the exact cause of death is unknown.
